The 2016 Spring issue of The Canadian Organic Grower magazine (available now!) is focused on explaining the goals and implications of the changes to the standard for organic producers.

This content was developed for with all kinds of readers in mind: consumers, non-farming food professionals, certifiers, and farmers (both organic and non-organic).   Buy a copy of this issue — OR — sign up for a hard copy subscription today (3 issues for 20.34, tax included/year).

TCOG’s Spring 2016 issue included a 2 page summary sheet of changes to the Crops and Livestock sections of the COS (32.310 and 32.311). You can click here to download the .pdf of that summary.    You can also read an article from that issue, about a QC dairy farm family’s impressive investment in their infrastructure, in order to achieve compliance with the regulations and principles of Canada’s organic standard.
